LAMP DESIGNThis lamp design explores the intriguing dichotomy between protrusion and sustainment. the meticulously laser-cut paper circles, varying in size, are precisely folded to transform from two-dimensional forms into three-dimensional extrusions. The expansive, potentially invasive quality of these repeated three-dimensional elements is subdued by a consistent, minimalist white palette.
A SUBTLE INFUSION OF YELLOW LIGHT DELICATELY PERMEATES THE CIRCLES, ENHANCING THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PIECE IN TWO WAYS: CREATING A SOFT LUMINESCENCE THAT WASHES THE FORMS WITH COLOR AND CASTING NUANCED SHADOWS THAT ACCENTUATE THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL QUALITY, IMBUING THE WORK WITH VITALITY AND MOVEMENT.
